Bosta – Hayward SharkVac Motor Assembly RCX97400

The Hayward RCX97400 is the genuine OEM motor assembly for the Hayward SharkVac and eVac (SV/EV) robotic pool cleaners. It is the core power unit responsible for driving both the suction impeller and the cleaner’s movement, keeping your robotic cleaner running at full performance. This replacement assembly allows you to restore a faulty or worn-out unit to like-new condition without replacing the entire cleaner.

Kompatibilität

This motor assembly is designed specifically for the Hayward SharkVac robotic pool cleaner models RC9740 and RC9742, as well as eVac (EV) series cleaners. It is not interchangeable with other Hayward robotic cleaner lines such as the TigerShark. Always verify your cleaner’s model number before ordering to ensure a correct fit.

Warum Echtheit zählt

As a genuine Hayward replacement part, the RCX97400 is engineered to the exact OEM specification — ensuring correct motor speed, reliable suction performance, and long service life. Aftermarket motor assemblies may not match the original torque or waterproofing standards, risking further damage to your cleaner. Sourcing a genuine part also helps preserve any remaining Hayward warranty on your unit.

Installation

The RCX97400 replaces the complete motor unit inside the SharkVac body. While some experienced pool technicians undertake this replacement themselves, Hayward recommends using an authorised service centre for motor assembly work, as no official disassembly instructions are publicly distributed. Professional installation ensures the unit is correctly sealed and tested before returning to the pool.
