At DN140 with a 210 mm bolt-circle diameter and a rated working pressure of 10 bar, this is one of the largest lever-operated PVC-U butterfly valves in the Hydro-S Type 7500 range — well suited to high-volume pipework on commercial pools, water treatment plant, and large-scale irrigation headers. The PVC-U body and disc deliver excellent resistance to chlorinated and chemically dosed water, while the EPDM seal ensures a reliable, bubble-tight shut-off across its full 0 °C – 40 °C service range.

Body construction & chemical resistance

The valve body and disc are moulded from unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), giving it strong resistance to chlorine, mild acids, and common pool chemicals without corrosion. The housing is reinforced with glass-fibre filled polypropylene (PP GF) for additional rigidity under line pressure, and the EPDM elastomer seal seats firmly against the PVC-U disc to prevent leakage in both the open and closed positions.

Flanged connection & dimensional data

Designed to bolt directly between standard PN10 counter-flanges, the valve fits into metric pipework without adapters. Key face dimensions — pitch-circle diameter 210 mm, face-to-face length 63 mm (W-1), end-to-lever height 258 mm (R), and body width 115 mm (W-2) — are taken directly from the product datasheet, making it straightforward to plan the installation envelope before ordering. The steel spindle is sized to accept an actuator drive if lever operation needs to be upgraded later.

Lever operation & site handling

A blue polypropylene lever provides a clear quarter-turn open/close action, giving operators an immediate visual indication of valve position. At DN140, the lever affords sufficient mechanical advantage for comfortable manual operation even at elevated line pressure, and the lever colour follows the Hydro-S colour-coding convention that distinguishes butterfly valves from other valve types within the same system.
