At 280 mm internal diameter, this is a large-bore 90° elbow designed for high-volume pipework runs in commercial pool plant rooms, water treatment installations, and industrial fluid systems. Rated to 10 bar and manufactured in unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), it accepts solvent-cement bonding on both sockets, with each leg measuring 357 mm centre-to-back. Connection geometry conforms to EN-ISO 1452-3, ensuring dimensional compatibility with standard metric PVC-U pressure pipe of the same diameter.

PVC-U is inherently resistant to chlorinated water, most acids, and a broad range of industrial chemicals, making it well suited to pool plant pipework where aggressive dosing chemicals are present. The material is lightweight relative to its bore size, easing handling during installation, and it will not corrode or scale internally over time. The grey colouring is standard for metric pressure fittings in European installations.

Both sockets are sized to EN-ISO 1452-3, so the fitting accepts standard 280 mm OD metric PVC-U pipe with solvent-cement adhesive. The socket depth of 357 mm (centre-to-back) provides ample engagement length to produce a reliable, permanent bond capable of withstanding the full 10 bar rated pressure. No mechanical seals, gaskets, or clamps are required once the cement has cured.

A 280 mm bore elbow is specified at the larger end of pool and water-treatment plant pipework — typically on main collector headers, bypass loops, or inter-vessel connections between large filters, buffer tanks, and pump manifolds on commercial or public pool installations. It is equally at home in industrial water supply, irrigation mains, and aquaculture systems where high flow rates demand large-diameter pressure pipe.
