This is the genuine Hydro-Pro replacement titanium heat exchanger designed specifically for the Hydro-Pro Type 22 and 22T ABS swimming pool heat pumps. As the core component responsible for transferring heat from the refrigerant circuit to the pool water, a fully functioning heat exchanger is essential to maintaining efficient and reliable pool heating. Replacing a worn or damaged unit with this genuine part restores your heat pump to its original factory performance.

This heat exchanger is engineered as a direct-fit replacement for the Hydro-Pro Type 22 (single-phase, 22 kW) and Type 22T (three-phase, 22 kW) ABS vertical heat pump models. Always confirm your heat pump model number before ordering to ensure correct fitment. It is not compatible with horizontal models such as the Type 5, 7, 10, or 13.

Titanium is the material of choice for pool heat exchangers because it offers outstanding resistance to chlorine, bromine, salt water, and other pool chemicals that would rapidly corrode inferior metals. A genuine Hydro-Pro titanium heat exchanger maintains the thermal efficiency the unit was designed for, and using an approved part ensures your warranty obligations are met. Avoid freezing conditions, as operating the heat exchanger below 0 °C without winterisation can cause damage.

Replacement of the heat exchanger is an internal component job requiring isolation of the refrigerant circuit and should be carried out by a qualified pool heating technician or HVAC engineer. Always disconnect mains power before opening the heat pump cabinet. Ensure pool chemicals are dosed downstream of the heat pump to protect the new component from excessively high chemical concentrations.
