This is the genuine variable speed drive (VSD) assembly for the Sta-Rite IntelliFlo SW5P6R-VSD pool pump. The VSD unit houses the electronic frequency-conversion control circuitry that regulates motor speed, enabling the pump to operate across a wide range of speeds rather than at a fixed rate. It is CE-certified for full compliance with European electrical and safety standards.

This drive unit is designed specifically for the Sta-Rite IntelliFlo SW5P6R-VSD variable speed pump. It is not interchangeable with other pump models or non-VSD variants. Always verify your pump’s model number before ordering to ensure a correct match.

As a genuine Sta-Rite replacement part, this VSD unit is manufactured to the exact tolerances and safety specifications of the original assembly. Using a genuine drive ensures the pump’s energy-saving performance is preserved — the SW5P6R-VSD is engineered to deliver up to 50% energy savings compared to single-speed pumps by continuously adjusting motor speed to filtration demand. Third-party alternatives risk voiding warranties and compromising CE compliance.

Replacement of the variable speed drive assembly involves working with mains voltage and capacitors that can remain energised for several minutes after power is removed. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or authorised pool technician. Always disconnect mains power fully before beginning any work on the motor or drive unit.
