This is the genuine Maytronics OEM small wheel in lilac for the Dolphin Cainan 1 robotic pool cleaner. The small wheel is a rolling contact component mounted at the rear of the chassis that works in conjunction with the drive tracks to guide the robot across pool floors and walls, maintaining traction and directional stability during each cleaning cycle.

Dolphin robotic cleaners use a combination of drive tracks and smaller supplementary wheels to navigate pool surfaces. The small wheel bears a portion of the robot’s weight, reduces friction at the chassis corners, and keeps the unit properly oriented so the tracks can grip and propel the cleaner without slipping or veering off course. Correct wheel condition is critical to achieving the systematic, overlapping cleaning paths these robots are designed to follow.

This part is specified for the Maytronics Dolphin Cainan 1. If you are unsure whether your unit matches, check the model label on the underside of the robot or your original purchase documentation before ordering.

Replace this small wheel when you notice the robot drifting to one side, struggling to climb walls, spinning in place, or exhibiting an uneven or erratic cleaning pattern. Visible cracks, flat spots, or a wheel that no longer rotates freely on its axle are clear physical indicators that the component has worn beyond serviceable limits.

OEM wheels are moulded to the precise diameter, shore hardness, and bearing tolerance Maytronics engineers to match the Cainan 1 chassis geometry. Aftermarket substitutes frequently deviate in these dimensions, leading to uneven track wear, increased motor load, and premature failure of surrounding drivetrain components. Fitting a genuine part preserves the manufacturer’s performance specification and protects any remaining warranty.
