The 5443REG is the genuine Davey blanking plug designed to seal the ORP probe port on the Davey Regul’Matic pool water controller. It keeps the probe socket protected and watertight whenever the ORP probe is removed — whether for seasonal winterisation, probe replacement, or system servicing. A small but essential spare that prevents water ingress and contamination of the probe connection.

This plug is a Davey Regul’Matic spare part intended for use with the Regul’Matic series of pool pH and ORP controllers (including v1, v2, and v3 variants). The Regul’Matic controls the production of a salt chlorination system by continuously monitoring oxidant (chlorine) levels via an ORP probe. Always verify your controller model and Davey part number before ordering to ensure a correct fit.

The ORP probe port must be sealed precisely to maintain a leak-free hydraulic circuit in the probe cell. A genuine Davey replacement plug (part 5443REG) ensures the correct thread form, material, and sealing geometry — avoiding the probe socket damage or leaks that ill-fitting generic plugs can cause. Using original Davey spare parts also helps protect your Regul’Matic unit’s warranty.

The probe port plug is typically needed when swapping out a worn ORP probe (probe lifespan is typically 1–3 years), when winterising the system and storing the probe in protective solution, or any time the ORP probe is removed from the controller’s probe cell for maintenance. Keeping a spare plug on hand ensures downtime is kept to a minimum during probe changes.
