The Davey M1733 is the genuine OEM replacement transformer for the EcoSalt 26 and Chloromatic BMSC 26 salt water chlorinators. The transformer is a core electrical component of the chlorinator’s power supply unit, converting mains voltage into the low-voltage DC power required to drive electrolysis in the cell. It is typically replaced when the chlorinator fails to power on, produces no chlorine output, or shows signs of electrical fault within the power supply housing.

This transformer is specifically designed for the Davey EcoSalt 26 and the Monarch/Chloromatic BMSC 26 salt chlorinators. It is not interchangeable with other output ratings in the EcoSalt or BMSC range — each model operates at a different voltage and current, so always verify your chlorinator’s exact model before ordering. The EcoSalt BMSC series is a phased-out product line, and genuine spare parts such as this transformer are in limited supply.

Using a genuine Davey transformer ensures the correct voltage and current are delivered to your chlorinator’s electrolytic cell. Davey’s own documentation warns that using non-genuine or incompatible electrical components can cause serious damage to the electronics inside the unit and will void any remaining warranty. With the EcoSalt BMSC range being discontinued, sourcing an authentic OEM part while stock lasts is the surest way to extend the working life of your existing system.

Replacement of the transformer involves working inside the chlorinator’s power supply enclosure and must be carried out by a qualified electrician or authorised pool technician. Always disconnect the unit from the mains electrical supply before beginning any servicing work. This part is sold as a component only — no additional accessories are included.
