The Cell Locking Ring (part 16058SP) is a genuine Davey spare part designed to secure the electrolytic cell head firmly in place on the Davey EcoSalt 2 salt chlorinator. It is a key structural component of the cell assembly, ensuring a leak-free, stable connection between the cell head and cell body during operation. Replace it whenever the ring shows signs of cracking, deformation, or whenever the electrolytic cell itself is being serviced or replaced.

This locking ring is compatible with the full Davey EcoSalt 2 EU and US cell range, covering all output variants: DES2-15E, DES2-15EL, DES2-25E, DES2-25EL, DES2-35E (15 g/h standard, 15 g/h Low Salt, 25 g/h standard, 25 g/h Low Salt, and 35 g/h). It is listed as item 2 in the official Davey EcoSalt 2 spare parts exploded diagram. It is not intended for the Australian Nipper (DNP) cell variants.

Davey’s genuine replacement locking ring is manufactured to exact tolerances for the EcoSalt 2 cell body, ensuring a correct fit and a reliable seal. An ill-fitting or aftermarket ring risks leaks at the cell head, which can lead to pool water damage around your equipment and premature cell failure. Using genuine parts also helps maintain your Davey warranty coverage.

The cell locking ring works in conjunction with the cell head O-ring (403377SP, sold separately) — it is good practice to inspect and replace both at the same time. Fitting is straightforward for a competent pool technician: isolate the system, remove the cell from its barrel unions, swap the locking ring and O-ring, and reinstall. Always ensure salt levels are correct before restarting to protect the cell plates.
