This is the genuine Fluidra OEM replacement motor capacitor for the Baracuda Aquantis Max 75M pool pump. Rated at 16 microfarads and 450 V, it provides the electrical charge needed to start and/or run the pump’s single-phase motor smoothly and reliably. A failed or degraded capacitor is one of the most common causes of a pool pump that hums but won’t start — replacing it restores full motor function at a fraction of the cost of a new motor.

This capacitor is specifically sourced and matched for the Baracuda Aquantis Max 75M pump motor. Always verify against your pump’s motor data plate before ordering. Using the correct rated capacitor — matched in both capacitance (µF) and voltage — is essential for reliable motor starting and long component life.

Genuine Fluidra parts are manufactured to the exact electrical tolerances of your pump’s motor. The 450 V voltage rating provides an important safety margin above standard 230 V European mains supplies, helping the component tolerate line surges and protecting the motor windings over time. Off-brand capacitors with incorrect ratings risk premature motor failure or unsafe operation.

Capacitor replacement is a straightforward service task for a qualified pool technician or competent DIYer with electrical experience. Always isolate the pump from mains power and safely discharge the old capacitor before handling. The capacitor is located within the motor’s rear cover and connects via spade or quick-connect terminals.
