Water-ID – Blue Plastic Stirring & Crushing Rod for PoolLab 2.0 (10.5 cm)

This genuine Water-ID blue plastic stirring and crushing rod is an official replacement accessory for the PoolLab 2.0 photometer. At 10.5 cm long, it is used to dissolve and crush reagent tablets directly inside the measurement cuvette before each test, ensuring complete reagent dissolution for accurate photometric readings.

Why colour-coding matters

The PoolLab 2.0 supports simultaneous measurement of up to three water parameters across its triple-chamber cuvette. To prevent cross-contamination between chambers during parallel measurements, Water-ID supplies three distinctly coloured rods — white, blue, and red — with each unit. Assigning one colour per chamber eliminates the risk of reagent carry-over that could skew results. Replace this blue rod immediately if it is lost, damaged, or discoloured from reagent build-up.

Compatibility

This rod is compatible with the Water-ID PoolLab 2.0 photometer only. It is not designed for use with the older PoolLab 1.0. Always verify your photometer model before ordering.

Care & replacement

After every measurement session, rinse the stirring rod thoroughly with tap water followed by distilled water to remove all reagent residues. Failure to clean it properly can cause progressive discolouration and may introduce contamination into future tests. Replace the rod whenever it shows signs of heavy staining, surface damage, or if it goes missing from your kit.
