Replacement cell type SSC Mini

Fitted with titanium plates capable of up to 20 g/h chlorine production, this is the genuine replacement electrolysis cell for the SSC Mini salt chlorinator — designed to restore full sanitising performance in residential pools of up to 90,000 litres. The cell is supplied complete with its cable, ready to slot directly into the existing translucent cell housing without any additional wiring work.

Electrolysis output & cell technology

The titanium-plate electrode stack delivers a maximum output of 20 g/h of pure chlorine, sufficient to maintain water quality in pools up to 80–90 m³. Self-cleaning reverse polarity prevents scale build-up on the plates and helps extend cell service life, while an integrated water-flow sensor and temperature sensor allow the system to adapt chlorine production automatically to changing conditions — protecting the cell from damage during periods of low conductivity.

Fit & installation

This replacement cell is a direct, plug-and-play fit for the SSC Mini (also compatible with the PoolStyle Mini variant). The cell and its pre-wired cable are included; the cell housing and pipe unions (50 mm / 1½″ or 63 mm / 2″) remain in place on the pipework and are not required as part of this order. Swapping the cell requires no pipework modifications, making it a straightforward maintenance task for the pool owner or installer.

Cell care & service life

Titanium cells in the SSC series are rated for 5,000–8,000 hours of operation under correct water chemistry. To maximise service life, maintain pool salinity at around 4,000 ppm using high-purity sodium chloride, and remove the cell during winterisation — cold water reduces conductivity, which causes the controller to raise current and accelerates electrode wear. The SSC Mini controller provides a dedicated end-of-cell-life alert so replacement can be planned before chlorine output drops noticeably.
