Profec 63 mm Glycerin-Filled Pressure Gauge – Back Connection 1/4″ BSP, 0–10 bar

This Profec glycerin-filled pressure gauge delivers stable, easy-to-read pressure indication across a 0–10 bar range in pool filtration systems, irrigation networks, and greenhouse water supply lines. The 63 mm dial face provides a clear scale with accuracy class KL 1.6, meaning the maximum permissible error is ±1.6% of the full-scale range. Glycerin filling dampens pointer oscillation caused by pressure surges, water hammer, and pump pulsation, significantly extending the service life of the internal Bourdon tube mechanism compared to dry gauges.

The stainless steel 304 case and brass bezel resist corrosion in humid outdoor and plant-room environments. The Bourdon tube is manufactured from copper alloy for gauges rated up to 40 bar; above 60 bar, phosphorous bronze is used — this unit’s 0–10 bar range places it firmly in the copper-alloy tube category. The polycarbonate window is shatter-resistant and provides excellent dial visibility. The back-entry male thread (1/4″ BSP) allows direct panel or pipe-flange mounting where a flush or rear-connected installation is required, keeping pipework neat and the dial face fully visible.

Compatibilitat

Suitable for installation on pool filter vessels, irrigation pump manifolds, sand filter housings, and greenhouse drip-line systems using standard 1/4″ BSP male-threaded ports. Compatible with water, oils, and non-aggressive liquids that do not attack copper alloy or glycerin. Not suitable for oxygen lines or strongly oxidising media. Ensure the installation point accepts a 1/4″ BSP male thread and that system pressure does not exceed 75% of the full-scale value (7.5 bar) under continuous operation, in line with EN 837-1 best practice.

Profec Pressure gauge 63 mm male thread 0 - 1,6bar type glycerin filled back connection 1/4" — main
  • Glycerin fill eliminates pointer flutter from pump pulsation — readable at a glance even under dynamic flow
  • Stainless steel 304 case withstands humid pool-room and outdoor irrigation environments without rusting
  • Back-connection entry keeps pipework unobstructed and the 63 mm dial fully facing the operator
  • Accuracy class KL 1.6 provides reliable readings suitable for filter pressure monitoring and flow balancing
  • Standard 1/4" BSP male thread fits the majority of filter heads, pump outlets, and manifold tappings
  • Single-range instrument (0–10 bar); not suitable for systems requiring higher-range monitoring without substitution
  • Glycerin fill can leak if the case is cracked — the gauge must be replaced rather than repaired if physically damaged
  • Back-connection configuration only; not interchangeable with bottom-entry (radial) gauge ports without an elbow adapter
