Hayward – ORP Kit for AquaRite+

Designed specifically as a second-stage expansion for the Hayward AquaRite+ salt chlorinator, this ORP Kit continuously measures the Oxidation Reduction Potential (Redox) of your pool water via a professional-grade ORP probe and an ORP chip set that unlocks closed-loop chlorine control directly on the AquaRite+ PCB. It requires the AquaRite+ pH Upgrade Kit to already be fitted, making it the final step towards fully automated water chemistry management.

Redox measurement & chlorine regulation

Once installed, the kit allows the AquaRite+ to read the ORP value of the water in real time and automatically adjust TurboCell output to keep disinfection at the optimal level without manual intervention. Because ORP measures the actual oxidising capacity of the water rather than a chemical residual, it is unaffected by pH drift, total dissolved solids, or other interfering factors — giving a more reliable picture of true sanitation effectiveness. Over- and under-dosing of chlorine is avoided, which reduces chemical consumption and protects pool surfaces and equipment.

Installation & PCB integration

The kit connects via a BNC connector to the ORP/Rx input on the AquaRite+ unit, while the included ORP chip set is seated into the rX terminal on the PCB to unlock the ORP firmware. Access to the PCB requires careful removal of the Dead Front Panel and should be carried out by a qualified installer with the unit fully isolated from the mains supply. The ORP probe is then placed in the existing measuring chamber alongside the pH probe; no additional plumbing is needed.

Ideal applications

This kit is the right choice for heavily used private pools, semi-commercial facilities, or any installation where stable, consistent water quality is a priority and manual testing is not practical. Combined with the pH Upgrade Kit, it completes a fully closed-loop water-treatment system within the AquaRite+ platform.
