The Blue Lagoon Tapping Saddle SP0072 is a pipe-mounting fitting designed to install a 3/4″ male-threaded flow switch onto a 75 mm PVC pool pipe. It clamps securely around the pipe and, once drilled through, provides a leak-free threaded port so the flow switch can monitor water movement in the circulation line. It is an optional accessory listed across the full Blue Lagoon UV-C range — including the Tech, Tech 4ALL, Timer 4ALL, and Signal series.

Compatibilitat

This saddle is sized specifically for 75 mm outer-diameter PVC pipework, the largest in the Blue Lagoon tapping-saddle range (which also includes 50 mm and 63 mm variants, SKUs SP0070 and SP0071). The 3/4″ male thread outlet accepts the standard Blue Lagoon Flow Switch Plus as well as other compatible 3/4″ female BSP flow-switch fittings used in pool and spa installations across Europe.

Using an off-brand saddle risks misalignment, leaks, or incorrect flow readings that could leave your UV-C unit running dry or failing to activate — potentially damaging the lamp or leaving pool water untreated.

Instal·lació

Shut down the circulation pump and drain or isolate the pipe section before fitting. Mount the saddle around the 75 mm pipe at the desired location, secure the clamping bolts evenly, then drill through the pipe at the threaded port. Apply a suitable thread sealant to the flow switch male threads before screwing in the device, tightening carefully to avoid cracking the plastic — finger-tight plus one to two wrench turns is typically sufficient.
