Rated to a maximum flow capacity of 78.3 m³/h and a working pressure of 16 bar, this DN50 ball check valve is built for demanding professional pool and hydraulic installations where reliable backflow prevention is non-negotiable. The full body, ball, and spring are machined from marine-grade stainless steel 316, making it an excellent choice for saltwater pools, plant rooms exposed to chlorinated or corrosive atmospheres, and pump discharge lines.

Corrosion resistance & materials

Every structural component — housing, spring, and internals — is manufactured from grade 316 stainless steel, the alloy preferred for aggressive aquatic environments due to its elevated molybdenum content. The NBR rubber ball and NBR seals deliver a tight, low-leakage closure across the full operating temperature range of 0 °C to 90 °C, making the valve equally at home on heated pool circuits and cold-water supply lines.

Hydraulic performance & flow

With a nominal bore of DN50 (2 inches) and a spring-assisted ball mechanism, the valve offers a smooth full-bore flow path that minimises pressure drop under normal pool circulation loads. The rotating NBR ball self-cleans during operation, reducing the risk of debris adhering to the seating surface and compromising closure integrity — a key advantage in pool plant rooms handling chemically treated water.

Installation & connections

The 2″ BSP female-threaded ends make this valve straightforward to incorporate into standard European pool pipework without the need for flanged adaptors. At 210 mm face-to-face length (L) and 112 mm end-to-centre (Ct-1), pipe runs can be planned precisely.
